Your First Watch Collection: A Beginners Guide!

Alright, guys, so I finally decided to get into watches. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for ages, and I figured, why not? Here’s how I kicked things off, bumps and all.

Your First Watch Collection: A Beginners Guide!

First Steps: Figuring Out My Style (and Budget!)

Initially, I started by browsing some pictures and spending some time just scrolling through images of watches. I wasn’t even looking at prices, just trying to see what styles caught my eye. Did I like big, chunky divers? Sleek, minimalist dress watches? Something in between?

After that , I needed to get real about how much I could actually spend. It’s easy to get carried away looking at luxury watches, so I set myself a hard limit. No point in drooling over something I couldn’t afford, right?

The Hunt Begins: Online and In-Person

I spent a bunch of time online. I looked at pictures, read articles. I started to get a feel for different brands and what they were known for. I wanted to see them in person, So I visited some malls.

  • Tried things on: This was HUGE. Watches look so different on your wrist than they do in pictures.
  • Talked to some people: Salespeople can be, you know, salespeople. But I tried to get past the sales pitch and just talk about watches. I got different views from them.

My First Watch!

After all that looking, I finally pulled the trigger! I went with a something classic and versatile, which is a good all-arounder. It’s nothing super fancy, but it’s a style I really liked, and it fit my budget. And most importantly, I loved how it looked on my wrist.

What I Learned (So Far)

Don’t rush it:It spends some time to find some watch you really love.

Set that budget: Seriously, stick to it.

It’s been a fun little journey so far. I’m definitely not an expert, but I’m enjoying the process of learning and finding what I like. My collection started with one watch, I will keep going to build it step by step.
