Let me tell you, it all started with a simple idea. I was just chilling, playing Elden Ring, and then I stumbled upon this character, Malenia. The final boss, you know? She’s in a secret spot called Miquella’s Haligtree, which is part of Elphael. Getting there is a whole other story, need a special Medallion for the Grand Lift of Rold to reach the Consecrated Snowfield.
Anyway, I heard about some cool mods for her. One was from this YouTuber, Ongbal. Called it “Unalloyed Malenia.” Sounded fun, like a real challenge. I’m all about the challenge so I’m diving into that.
Then, there was all this buzz in the community. People were talking about mods for Elden Ring, especially for Malenia. I found a forum dedicated just to these mods. There was this one mod, in particular, caught my eye. It’s supposed to make her second phase look way cooler, cinematically. That sounded right up my alley.
Here is How I Did It
- First Try: I tried a bunch of mods. One let me play as Malenia. I had to replace some of my character’s armor with hers. There were like three versions. I started with “Malenia – Blade of Miquella,” then tried another one. It was fun, but not exactly what I was looking for.
- Getting Serious: I heard about this other mod, designed for those who wanted a more beautiful fight or a new challenge. I thought, “Why not?” So, I downloaded a mod manager. When I first opened it, it looked so empty.
- Diving Deep: I spent hours on this. Downloaded mods, put them in the mod folder. It was trial and error. Some worked, some didn’t. The main goal was to get that cinematic second phase, but it was tough. I found 3 links and downloaded them all.
- Experimenting: I tried different combinations. Some mods replaced her prosthetic body, armor, sword, and even wings. Others just changed the armor. It was a mix-and-match situation.
- The Breakthrough: Finally, I found the right combination. I’m not even sure how it happened. One moment I was struggling, the next, bam! There it was. Malenia’s second phase, looking epic, just like in the videos.
- Success: It was a long journey, but totally worth it. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see Malenia in her full glory? Plus, it made the fight way more interesting.
So, yeah, that’s my story. It was a wild ride, but I managed to get it done. Now, every time I fight Malenia, it’s like watching a movie. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. Trust me, if I can do it, so can you.
