Okay, so I wanted to mess around with the Nike logo, specifically the basketball one. You know, the one with the silhouette. I’ve always thought that logo was super cool, ever since I was a kid.

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a few versions of the Nike logo from the internet. I made sure to get the “Just Do It” one too, because why not? I found a bunch of different sizes and formats, mostly PNGs with transparent backgrounds, which is exactly what I needed.
Playing Around
Then, I opened up my trusty image editor. I won’t name it, but let’s just say it’s a popular one that a lot of people use. I started by just messing around with the basic logo, the Swoosh. I resized it, rotated it, and even flipped it a few times. Just getting a feel for it, you know?
The Basketball Guy
Next, I focused on the basketball silhouette. This was the tricky part. I wanted to see if I could isolate the figure from the background. It took some time, and honestly, it wasn’t perfect, but I managed to get a decent cutout of the guy. I’m no expert, okay?
Combining Stuff
After that, I tried putting the silhouette on top of the Swoosh. It looked kinda cool, but something was missing. I played with the colors a bit. I even tried adding the “Just Do It” slogan underneath, but it felt too crowded. Then I got the idea to make the silhouette of the guy look like he’s jumping over the Swoosh, I played around with that idea for a while.
Final Touches
Finally, after hours of tinkering, I ended up with something I was pretty happy with. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but it was fun to make. It was more about the process, you know? Just experimenting and seeing what I could come up with.

- First Try: Just the Swoosh with the words “Just Do It” under it. Pretty basic.
- Second Try: Basketball guy cut out, but kinda rough around the edges.
- Third Try: Basketball guy on top of the Swoosh, but it looked weird.
- Final Version: Basketball guy looks like he’s jumping over the Swoosh, which I think is pretty cool!
So yeah, that’s my little logo adventure. It’s not gonna win any awards, but it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. It reminded me how much I enjoy just messing around with designs and being creative. Maybe I’ll try something like this again soon. Who knows.
