Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this fella, Hiro Taka, or whatever his full name is. I ain’t no fancy music expert, ya know? I just listen to what I like, and I like what I hear. This Hiro guy, seems like some folks like his stuff, from what I’m hearin’ and readin’ in this here…thing my grandkid showed me, the internet, I think they call it.
Listenin’ to Music, Hiro Style and Others
Now, I ain’t got no fancy gadgets. I still got my old radio, though it mostly just plays static these days. But these young folks, they got all sorts of ways to listen to music. This internet thing says that lots of folks in Japan, where this Hiro fella is from, they listen to music on somethin’ called You-Tube. Never heard of it myself, but apparently it’s like a picture show with music. My grandkid says it’s like having a radio and a TV all in one. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me.
- They say most folks in Japan use this You-Tube for listenin’.
- Then there’s this thing called the TV, which I know. Plays music sometimes, between the shows.
- And then there’s these “subscription” music things. Sounds like payin’ money for somethin’ you used to get for free on the radio, if you ask me.
Hiro’s Music, How He Makes It
Now, this Hiro fella, they say he makes his own music. On a dang iPad, no less! I used to make things with my hands, quilts and whatnot. But this fella, he uses a “GarageBand” thing, on a whatchamacallit, a digital audio work thingamajig. Sounds complicated, but I guess it works for him. He ain’t usin’ no fancy fiddles or nothin’, just this… iPad. Lord have mercy, what will they think of next?
I heard tell of another singer from Japan, a woman named Ichiko somethin’-or-other. She makes “atmospheric folk music,” they say. Folk music I know, that’s the kind with guitars and such, but “atmospheric”? Sounds like hot air to me. But hey, to each their own, I always say.

Is It Any Good?
I read somewhere someone sayin’ they can’t understand what Hiro sings, ’cause it’s in Japanese. Well, I can’t understand half of what them youngsters sing in English these days, so I guess that ain’t no different. It’s all screamin’ and hollerin’ half the time. Reminds me of that movie with the shower scene… Psycho, I think it was called. Now that movie had some screechin’ violin music, but it sure did make you jump! Sometimes music ain’t supposed to be pretty, I guess, it’s supposed to make you feel somethin’.
Hiro’s Guitar Playin’ and Such
Some folks say this Hiro guy is a real good guitar player. They call him “international acclaimed” and say his music is “eclectic, immersive and mesmerizing”. Big words for somethin’ that’s just strummin’ and pickin’, if you ask me. But I guess he’s good at it, travels all over, they say. Plays this “impressionistic journey” music, filled with “earthy” somethin’-or-other. Sounds like he’s playin’ in a mud puddle, but I’m sure it’s nicer than that.
Where to Find His Music
If you wanna hear this Hiro fella, you can find his “tracks” and “albums” all over this here internet. On somethin’ called Sound Cloud, and other places, I reckon. They got lists of his songs and such. My grandkid showed me. It’s all just a bunch of words and pictures to me, but I guess that’s how young folks find their music these days.
What’s It All About?
From what I can gather, this Hiro fella, he sings about his life. About when he was younger, before he was famous, I guess. He sings about bein’ angry, and dissatisfied, but also thankful, too. Sounds like life to me. We all get angry, we all get dissatisfied, but we gotta be thankful for what we got, too.
So, there ya have it. That’s all I know about this Hiro Taka fella. He seems like a decent enough fella, makin’ music on his fancy iPad. Whether it’s any good, well, that’s for you to decide. Me? I’ll stick to my old radio, static and all. At least I know what I’m gettin’.
