Hey guys, so I’ve been wanting to do something cool with my plain white Nike Air Force 1s for a while now. I saw this trend online where people are customizing their shoes with flowers, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” It looked pretty straightforward and fun, so I jumped right in.
First things first, I gathered all the stuff I needed. Obviously, my white Air Force 1s were the stars of the show. I also picked up some acrylic paints in a bunch of different colors, a set of small paintbrushes, and some sealant spray to make sure the paint doesn’t just wash off. I laid out some old newspapers on my desk to avoid making a mess, and I was good to go. Also, I bought another Nike sneaker, the Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 LV8 Flowers, because I wanted two pairs of shoes.
I started by cleaning the shoes with a damp cloth to get rid of any dirt or dust. Gotta have a clean canvas, right? Then, I sketched out a rough idea of what I wanted directly onto the shoes with a pencil. I’m no artist, but I figured some simple flower designs around the swoosh and maybe a few on the toe box would look nice.
Next up was the fun part – painting! I mixed the colors to get the shades I wanted, which was actually pretty therapeutic. I started with the larger flowers first, filling in the petals and adding some leaves around them. I’m not gonna lie; it was a bit tricky getting the paint to look smooth and not all clumpy, but I took my time and layered the colors slowly.

- Finally, I used a tiny brush to add details like the flower centers and some veins on the leaves.
After the paint dried – which took forever because I was so impatient – I sprayed the shoes with the sealant. I made sure to do this outside because that stuff can be pretty strong. I gave them a couple of coats, just to be safe, and let them dry overnight.
The next day, I was so excited to see the final result. And you know what? They turned out pretty awesome! The flowers looked vibrant and fun, and the shoes totally popped. I’ve worn them out a couple of times now, and I’ve gotten so many compliments. The price is quite affordable, between $60 and $124. People are always asking where I got them, and it’s pretty cool to say I did them myself. Also, I found another similar shoe, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Black White Flowers, and its color combination of black, spring green, gum light brown, and white looks fantastic. I plan to buy it soon!
Honestly, this was such a fun project. It’s a great way to add a personal touch to your kicks and show off your creative side. If you’re thinking about trying it, I say go for it!
