That Apple watch, you know, it’s one of those fancy things the young folks wear. My grandson, he’s got one. Says it can do all sorts of things, like tell you the time, and show messages, and even count your steps. Lord knows why you need a watch to do all that, but there you go. This one here, we are talking about it being on a man, so yeah, let’s see what I know about that.
Now, this Apple watch on a man, it’s like a little computer on your wrist. I seen my neighbor’s boy, he’s always tapping on it. Said he was “checking his notifications.” Whatever that means. He can make phone calls on that little thing. Ain’t that something? So if a man’s wearing one of these Apple watches, he can probably take calls without even touching his phone. That’s convenient, I reckon.
My grandson told me this Apple Watch can track your health, too. It can tell you how many steps you take, how fast your heart’s beating, all that stuff. If that man is into that, you might hear that from him. They say it’s good for you, staying healthy. He also told me there is something called “heart condition,” and this watch can help you with that. I don’t know much about these things, just hope people can be healthy. Maybe it is a good thing, then. I know a man, this fella here in town, he got one of these watches, and it told him something was wrong with his heart. He went to the doctor and got it checked out. Turns out, the watch was right! Saved his life, they say. That’s something, ain’t it?
And get this – they say these Apple watches can help you find things. Like if you lose your phone, or something like that. My neighbor’s boy was showing me once. He pressed a button on his watch, and his phone started making a noise. I don’t know about that, but if you are a man, you might know it. I just lose my glasses most times. My son, he said he will use the watch to find me, that is kind of creepy, but I guess it would be helpful. So, yeah, this Apple watch is kind of like a little helper on your wrist. It is also like a phone on the wrist.
Oh, and they can even pay for things with these watches! I saw it on TV. You just tap your watch on some machine, and boom, paid for. I don’t know how that works, but it sure looks easy. No more digging around for cash or cards. Maybe one day I’ll try it, but I like my old ways. Paying for things is not hard, I don’t see why people need that. But it’s a new world, I guess.
Some folks say these watches are just a fad. That people will get tired of them. Maybe they’re right, maybe they’re not. But for now, they sure are popular. And they seem to be doing some good, too. My grandson, he’s always going on about “features.” Said this watch has “hidden features.” Like what, I don’t know. He said something about splitting bills. I don’t know why you need a watch to split a bill. We always just figured it out ourselves. But these young folks, they like their gadgets. He also showed me one time that he can talk to that watch. He asked it something, and it answered him back! It is like magic, I told him. He just laughed. He also told me that you can use it to open a door. It is like a key. I never saw that before, but it is interesting, right?

That man might be lucky to have one. Just like that man who got his heart checked. That watch, it’s a lifesaver, they say. And who am I to argue with that?
