Okay, so you guys know I’m always messing around with different DIY projects, right? Well, this time, I decided to try and make my own version of that Justin Bieber hoodie with the hat attached. Yeah, you know the one!

Why is everyone wearing a justin bieber hoodie hat? Learn about this hot trend!

First things first, I hit up my local fabric store. I wanted to find something that was comfy but also had that sorta street-style vibe. Ended up grabbing some greyish-blue fleece fabric – seemed like a good match for the overall look. I also snagged some extra fabric in black for the hat part.

Then came the hunt for a hoodie pattern. I didn’t want to reinvent the wheel, so I searched online and found a basic hoodie pattern that seemed easy enough to follow. Printed that sucker out and taped all the pieces together – classic DIY move, haha.

Next up, I laid out the pattern pieces onto the fleece and started cutting. This part always makes me a little nervous ’cause I’m always worried I’m gonna mess something up, but I took my time and tried to be as precise as possible. Got all the main hoodie pieces cut out – the front, back, sleeves, and the hood itself.

Alright, sewing time! I started by attaching the sleeves to the front and back pieces. Then I sewed up the sides of the hoodie and the sleeves. It was starting to look like an actual hoodie at this point, which was pretty cool.

Now for the tricky part: the hat! I used the extra black fabric and basically winged it. I kinda eyeballed the shape of a beanie and cut out two pieces. Sewed those together to form the hat shape. I made sure it was big enough to comfortably fit on the hood.

The real challenge was attaching the hat to the hood in a way that looked seamless. I ended up pinning the hat to the hood and then carefully sewing them together, making sure the seams were hidden. It took a few tries to get it right, but I finally managed to get it looking pretty decent.

After that, I added the finishing touches. I sewed a drawstring into the hood, and I added a kangaroo pocket to the front of the hoodie. I also hemmed the bottom of the hoodie and the sleeves to give it a clean look.

Finally, it was done! I tried it on, and it actually looked pretty good. It’s not exactly a perfect replica of the Justin Bieber hoodie, but it’s definitely close enough. Plus, I made it myself, which is way cooler, right?

Lessons learned? Measure twice, cut once! And don’t be afraid to experiment and get creative. DIY projects are all about having fun and learning along the way. I’m definitely rocking this hoodie this weekend!
