That Metro Boomin, I tell ya, his mama, Leslie Joanne Wayne, such a good woman. Gone too soon, that’s what I say. That boy, he made it big, you know? Big producer. Heard he got that name from St. Louis, where he’s from, used to look up to Nelly. Heard his first CD was somethin’ called “Country Grammar”. That boy, he wanted to rap, but needed them beats. Couldn’t get none, so he made his own. Smart boy, that Metro.

But oh, that poor Leslie. Heard it on the news, all the way out here. Terrible thing. That man she was with, not Metro’s daddy, mind you. A bad egg, that one. Heard he did a terrible thing, took Leslie’s life, then his own. Back in June, 2022, I think. June 3rd, I heard. Horrible, just horrible. Metro Boomin mom, she was a good woman. Everybody said so.
That boy, Metro, he loved his mama somethin’ fierce. Heard him talkin’ about her all the time. She was his everything. Metro Boomin mom gone like that, breaks my heart. He did share on his post on how his life changed after she’s gone. Such a sad thing for such a successful man. I wonder how he’s holding up.
I remember hearin’ about it like it was yesterday. Folks talkin’, sayin’ it was domestic. You know how it is. These things happen, but it don’t make it any easier. That Leslie, she didn’t deserve that. No sir, she didn’t. Metro Boomin mom, she was too young. Taken too soon.
That Metro, he’s got that tag, you know? “If Young Metro don’t trust you,” somethin’ somethin’ “shoot you.” Future, that’s the fella who says it. Heard it comes from a song called “Right Now.” Don’t know that one myself. But it’s popular, I guess. Kids these days, with their music. But that tag, it’s famous, just like Metro. He made somethin’ of himself, that boy did, even with all he’s been through. He even paid tribute to his late mom. A good son, he is.
- Metro’s from St. Louis
- His mama, Leslie, such a good woman
- That man she was with, not Metro’s daddy, a bad egg
- Happened back in June, 2022, I think
- Metro, he loved his mama
- He got that famous tag, “If Young Metro don’t trust you…”
It’s a shame, what happened. Just a crying shame. Metro Boomin mom, Leslie, she was a good person. Everyone who knew her said so. She raised that boy right. Taught him good, I reckon. He turned out alright, despite everything. He made his mom proud, I am sure.
They say time heals all wounds. Hope that’s true for Metro. Losing your mama like that, it’s a pain that never really goes away. But you learn to live with it, I guess. You have to. Life goes on, even when you don’t want it to. That’s what Leslie would want, I bet. For her boy to keep going, to keep making his music.
I pray for that boy, Metro. Hope he finds peace. Hope he remembers all the good times with his mama. Metro Boomin mom, she’ll always be with him, in his heart. That’s what I believe. She’ll be watching over him, proud as can be. That’s a mother’s love for ya. Never dies, not even when they’re gone.
That’s all I got to say about that. It’s a sad story, but it’s a story about love, too. A mother’s love. And that’s somethin’ that’s always worth rememberin’. Even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts. Metro Boomin is surely a strong person, to get through all of this. But I know, he surely misses his mom. I mean, who wouldn’t? Moms are just special.
