Alright, so I wanted to share my little experiment with some eva nyc products I picked up recently. My hair’s been feeling kinda dry and just generally annoying, you know? Nothing I was using seemed to be doing much.

I was wandering around Ulta, not really looking for anything specific, just browsing. Then I spotted the eva nyc section. The packaging is pretty bright, kinda hard to miss. I remembered seeing people mention it online, mostly good things, and it wasn’t super expensive either, which is always a plus in my book. So, I thought, why not? Let’s give it a whirl.
What I Grabbed
I didn’t go crazy, just wanted to test the waters. I picked up two things:
- The Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer: Heard a lot about this one. Seemed like a do-it-all kind of spray.
- The Therapy Session Hair Mask: My ends were screaming for help, seriously felt like brittle straw. Figured a mask couldn’t hurt.
Putting Them to the Test
So, wash day rolls around. First, I used my regular shampoo. Then, instead of my usual conditioner, I scooped out a good amount of the Therapy Session Hair Mask. The instructions said leave it on for like 2-5 minutes. I probably left it closer to 5, maybe a bit more, while I finished up in the shower. It felt thick and smelled pretty good, not too overpowering.
Rinsed that out. My hair felt smoother immediately, which was a good sign. Got out, towel-dried my hair so it wasn’t dripping wet. Then I took the Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer. Shook it up and sprayed it all over, maybe 6-8 pumps? Focused a bit more on the ends. Combed it through – and yeah, detangling was definitely easier than usual. Less snagging.
Then I just blow-dried my hair like I normally do. Didn’t do anything fancy.

So, What Happened?
Okay, the results. After drying, my hair felt noticeably softer, especially the ends that usually feel rough. That hair mask definitely did something nice there. It wasn’t a miracle cure, my split ends didn’t magically disappear, but it felt much better hydrated.
The primer spray? It’s decent. My hair did feel smoother overall, and maybe a little less frizzy than usual? It’s supposed to do 10 things… I dunno about all 10, but it detangled, softened, and seemed to handle the heat okay. The smell is nice too, lasts for a bit.
I’ve used both products a few more times since then just to be sure. The mask is consistently good for that boost of softness. The primer is fine, it does its job as a leave-in conditioner and detangler. Is it absolute magic? Nah, probably not for my hair type anyway. But it’s not bad at all.
Final Thoughts
So yeah, my little eva nyc trial. Overall, pretty positive experience, especially considering the price point. The Therapy Session Hair Mask is the winner for me, I’ll likely buy that one again when I run out. It just gives my hair that needed drink. The Mane Magic Primer is okay, does the job, smells good. Might repurchase, might try something else, haven’t decided. It didn’t blow me away, but it didn’t disappoint either. Solid products, worth trying if you’re curious and see them around.
