So, I finally decided to give this Diorshow mascara a try. Heard a bunch about it, figured I’d see what the fuss was all about myself. Went out and picked one up last week.

Got it home, took it out of the box. The tube itself feels pretty solid, kinda fancy like you’d expect. I think this was the ‘Pump N Volume’ one, the tube felt a bit soft, like you’re supposed to squeeze it. Okay, weird, but let’s go with it. Gave it a little squeeze like they say, felt the stuff inside loosen up I guess. Felt a bit gimmicky, not gonna lie.
Putting it On
Pulled the wand out. The brush is pretty big, quite dense. Looked like it would grab a lot of product. I usually prefer slightly smaller brushes ’cause my eyes aren’t huge, makes it easier not to smudge everywhere.
Anyway, I started putting it on. Went on pretty smoothly, actually. It definitely loaded onto the lashes fast. One coat gave a lot of volume right away. I was kinda surprised. It felt thick, but not clumpy right off the bat. I tried a second coat on one eye just to see. It built up even more, almost too much for my liking for daytime, looked a bit spidery if I wasn’t careful.
- Definitely noticed more volume.
- Lengthening was okay, not amazing, but noticeable.
- Didn’t get much curl, but my lashes are pretty straight anyway.
How it Held Up
The real test is wearing it all day, right? I put it on in the morning, around 8 am. Went about my day – work, errands, the usual stuff. I checked it a few times in the mirror.
Good news: It didn’t really smudge under my eyes, which is a big problem I have with many mascaras. Impressive on that front. It also didn’t flake much, maybe one tiny speck by the end of the day but nothing crazy.

Bad news: By late afternoon, my lashes didn’t feel as ‘lifted’. They kinda dropped a bit. The volume was still there, but they didn’t look as perky as when first applied. Still looked decent though, just not perfect all day long. Definitely didn’t feel like it looked the same after 10 hours as it did after 10 minutes.
Taking it Off
Came time to wash my face. I used my usual oil cleanser. It took a bit of gentle rubbing to get it all off. More effort than my everyday drugstore mascara, but not terrible. Didn’t have to scrub like crazy, which is good. Came off clean without leaving dark circles behind the next morning.
So, What’s the Verdict?
It’s a decent mascara, especially if you want that big volume look quickly. The no-smudge thing was the biggest win for me. The squeezing the tube thing? Still feels like a gimmick, not sure it did much. It’s pretty pricey, though. Is it revolutionary? Nah. Is it a solid, high-volume mascara that doesn’t smudge easily? Yeah, pretty much. I’ll use it up, especially for evenings out, but I’m not sure I’d rush to buy it again immediately given the cost. There are other mascaras I like, some cheaper, that do a good job too. But yeah, it worked alright.
