This here, this af1 green, you know, that’s a real fancy shoe. I seen ’em, those young’uns wearin’ ’em all over. They look real nice, I gotta say. Not like the shoes we used to wear, no sir. Back in my day, we just had one pair, for workin’ and church and everything. But these, these af1 green, they’re somethin’ else.
They got this green color, bright like a grasshopper. And they got that swooshy thing on the side, what do they call it? Nike? Yeah, that’s it. These Nike shoes, they’re real popular. I hear folks talkin’ about ’em all the time, specially the Air Force 1. Sounds like somethin’ from the army, don’t it? Maybe that’s why they call it that.
I don’t know much ’bout these things, but I seen ’em at the stores, too. Those big stores, like that Foot Locker place. They got all kinds of shoes in there, all colors. But these green ones, they stand out. I seen some with that high top too. Nike Air Force 1 High Top, they call it. Must be for when it’s cold, or maybe for them basketball players. I don’t know.
My grandson, he’s got a pair. Says they’re comfortable. Says all the kids are wearin’ them. He’s always wantin’ the newest thing. Keeps up with the fashion, that one. He told me that they came out with these a long time ago, back in 1982. I was already an old lady back then, haha! I sure didn’t have no green shoes like that. And they’re still popular now. Imagine that.
He says they even got a name for ’em, somethin’ about the president. Air Force One, like the president’s plane. I don’t get it, but the young people do. They’re always sayin’ that the Air Force 1 shoes are the best, especially in a place called Harlem. That’s far away. Too far for me to ever want to go.
They sell these shoes everywhere, I reckon. Even online, on that interwebs thing. I seen a lady talkin’ about it on the TV. She said you can get ’em at DICK’S Sporting Goods, Best Buy, all those places. And they got ’em in different sizes, for little feet and big feet. Even different colors, though I like that green. I hear they don’t make as many anymore, though. Somethin’ about makin’ room for new shoes. But these Air Force 1 will always be a classic, I reckon.
You know, they even got a special place just for these shoes. This place called StockX, where you can buy and sell them. Like a market, but for shoes! The things they come up with these days.

Well, I reckon that’s all I know about these af1 green shoes. They sure are somethin’, ain’t they? Maybe I’ll get me a pair someday. Though I don’t know what I’d do with ’em. Maybe just look at ’em. They are pretty to look at, that’s for sure. But for now, I’ll just stick to my old shoes. They might not be fancy, but they get the job done. These old shoes have seen a lot of miles and years, just like me. But these Nike Air Force 1, they sure are somethin’ to talk about, ain’t they?
