Okay, so yesterday I started this “absolutely stronger with you” thing. It’s basically a partner workout plan I found, and I decided to give it a shot with my friend, Sarah. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, to be honest.

Getting Started
First, we picked out the exercises. We wanted something that involved both of us, you know, not just taking turns doing regular stuff. So we went for things like partner squats, where you’re facing each other and holding hands while squatting, and wheelbarrow push-ups, where one person is in a plank and the other holds their feet.
It felt pretty awkward at first. We were giggling a lot, trying to figure out how to, like, not fall over. But then, something cool happened.
The Actual Workout
- Partner Squats: We started with 10 reps, holding each other’s hands. Felt silly, but it actually made it easier to keep good form.
- Wheelbarrow Push-ups: I went first, holding Sarah’s feet while she did the push-ups. My core was burning! Then we switched.
- Sit-Up Passes:We faced each other, locked feet, and passed medicine ball every time.
- Plank with High-Fives:We held plank position and give high five to opposite hands.
We pushed each other, literally and figuratively. Like, when I was struggling to hold Sarah’s feet during those push-ups, she was yelling encouragement. And when she was getting tired during the sit-up passes, I kept tossing that medicine ball, making sure she kept going.
The Result
By the end, we were both completely wiped. Sweaty, tired, but also… energized. It wasn’t just the workout itself, it was the whole doing it together thing. We high-fived, totally proud of ourselves.
It’s only been one session, but I’m already feeling it. And it’s not just the muscles. It’s like, we accomplished something together. We relied on each other, supported each other, and got stronger, both physically and as friends. I’m actually looking forward to the next one. Go team us!
