Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little spring nail colors experiment! I’m no pro, just a regular gal who likes pretty nails, so this is all from my perspective.

Top Spring Nail Colors: Trends Youll Love to Try Now

First off, I started by gathering my supplies. I dug out all my nail polishes – a surprisingly large collection, I must admit! – and laid them out on my table. Then, I grabbed my nail polish remover, cotton pads, a nail file, and cuticle pusher. You know, the whole shebang.

Next, the real work began: the removal of the old polish. I soaked a cotton pad in remover and held it on each nail for a few seconds before wiping. It took a little elbow grease, but eventually, all the old color was gone. Then, I filed my nails into a nice, rounded shape. I prefer the natural look.

After filing, I gently pushed back my cuticles. I’m always careful not to be too aggressive with this step, as I don’t want to damage them. I then washed my hands and dried them thoroughly. Gotta make sure the base is clean!

Now for the fun part: choosing the colors! I was aiming for a spring vibe, so I gravitated towards pastel shades. I ended up picking a light pink, a mint green, and a soft lavender. I swatched each color on a piece of paper to see how they looked in different lighting. Ultimately, I decided to go with the light pink for my base color. It just felt so fresh and cheerful.

I applied a thin layer of base coat to each nail. This is super important to protect your nails and help the polish adhere better. Once the base coat was dry, I carefully painted on the first coat of the light pink polish. It was a little streaky, but I knew a second coat would even things out.

After letting the first coat dry completely, I applied a second coat of the pink. Much better! The color was now rich and even. I waited patiently for the second coat to dry before moving on to the next step.

For a little extra spring flair, I decided to add some simple floral accents. Using a tiny nail art brush, I dotted small flowers in the mint green and lavender shades on a few of my nails. Nothing too fancy, just a few cute little blooms.

Finally, I applied a generous layer of top coat to seal in the color and add shine. This also helps to protect the manicure from chipping. I let the top coat dry completely, and voila! Spring nails complete!

The whole process took a couple of hours, but I’m super happy with the results. My nails look so pretty and spring-like. It’s a small thing, but it really brightens up my day.

I even took some pictures to show off my handiwork to my friends. They all loved it and asked me to do their nails next! Maybe I should start a side hustle, haha.
