Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about these here Spider-Man dunks. Folks keep askin’ when they comin’ out, like I got all the answers, you know? But I heard some things, seen some things, so I’ll tell ya what I know.
First off, these ain’t just any shoes, no sir. They’re called Nike Dunks, and they’ve been around since way back in 1985. That’s a long time ago, even before my grandpappy started wearin’ them funny lookin’ shoes he had. They started out as basketball shoes, for playin’ that game with the ball and the hoop. But then them skateboardin’ kids started likin’ ’em, so Nike made ’em some special ones just for them, too. You got yer high-tops, the ones that go way up your ankle, and then you got yer low-tops, the ones that just sit down low. And then there’s some in the middle, too, I guess.
- High-tops – Them shoes go way up high.
- Mid-tops – Not too high, not too low.
- Low-tops – Just cover yer feet, nothin’ fancy.
Now, these Spider-Man dunks, they’re somethin’ special. Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout ’em. Seems like there’s a few different ones comin’ out, which makes it all confusing, if you ask me. One’s called the “Symbiote.” Sounds kinda scary, like somethin’ outta one of them comic books my grandson reads. They sayin’ that one’s comin’ out in October 2024. That’s a ways off, still gotta go through summer and all them hot days.
Then there’s this other one, the “Black Spider-Man” dunk. That one’s for the young’uns, the little kids. They’re sayin’ it’ll be out in September 2024. Gotta get them kids started early, I guess. It’s a GS Dunk Low, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a shoe, ain’t it?
So, where can ya get ’em? Well, that’s the tricky part. Seems like you gotta go to one of them fancy Nike Sportswear stores. They got ’em in the stores, and they got ’em online too, on that * thingy. But I reckon everybody and their grandma gonna be tryin’ to get a pair, so you gotta be quick. And they ain’t cheap, neither. Ninety dollars for a pair of kid’s shoes! Land sakes, that’s a lot of money. Back in my day, you could get a whole pair of boots for that much!
I heard tell there’s even a app, something called SNKRDUNK. Sounds like somethin’ you do at the carnival, dunkin’ people in water. But I guess you can buy the shoes there too, after they come out. You know, all this new technology, it just goes right over my head.
They also got all sorts of colors and designs for these dunks. More than you can shake a stick at. Red ones, blue ones, ones with all sorts of squiggles and whatnot. Seems like they make a shoe for just about everybody these days. And if you’re lucky, you might even find a coupon or somethin’. Heard they had a code for 25% off, LASTSHOT or somethin’ like that. Not sure if it still works, you gotta check it yerself.
Release dates are important, you know? Gotta mark ’em on your calendar, so you don’t miss out. But sometimes they change things around, so you gotta keep your ears open. September for the little kids’ shoes, October for the other ones. That’s what they sayin’ now, anyway.
And let me tell ya, people go crazy for these shoes. Millions of folks visitin’ the website, just lookin’ at shoes. Can you believe that? A million people! That’s more folks than live in my whole county, I reckon. They even got a store, a big one, in the city, on 5th Avenue. Fancy place, I bet. Full of all them shoes.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about these here Spider-Man dunks. September and October. Nike stores and online. Ninety dollars. Be quick, ’cause everybody wants ’em. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about shoes made me hungry.
