Okay, so, I’ve always been on this endless quest to find the perfect haircut. You know, the one that makes you feel like a million bucks without spending hours in front of the mirror. I have a round face, and let me tell you, it’s a struggle. Some cuts just make me look like I’m still in middle school, and not in a cute way.

So, I finally decided to take the plunge and go for something short. I scoured the internet, looking at pictures, reading articles, just trying to find something that wouldn’t make my face look even rounder. It was a whole thing, let me tell you.
My Haircut Journey
- First, I started by making a mood board. I know, it sounds extra, but it really helped me visualize what I wanted. I printed out pictures of different short haircuts that I liked on women with round faces.
- Then, I booked an appointment with my hairstylist. We chatted for a good while about what I was looking for. I showed her my mood board, and we discussed which styles would work best for my face shape and hair texture.
- Next, she started cutting. It was a little nerve-wracking, watching all that hair fall to the floor. But I trusted her, and I kept reminding myself that it would grow back if I hated it.
- Finally, she styled my hair, and I got to see the finished product. And you know what? I actually loved it! It was a choppy, textured bob that framed my face perfectly.
It’s been a few weeks now, and I’m still loving my new haircut. It’s so much easier to style in the morning, and I feel like it gives me a more mature and sophisticated look. Plus, I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it, which is always a nice bonus.
So, if you’re a round-faced gal like me, and you’re thinking about going short, I say do it! Just make sure you do your research, find a good stylist, and don’t be afraid to try something new. You might be surprised at how much you love it. I sure was!
