So I decided to head over to the Chanel boutique in Soho yesterday, honestly just wanted to check out their new stuff. Took the subway to Prince Street station and walked about five minutes – super easy to find that iconic black-and-white storefront.

First Impression
Pushed through those heavy glass doors and bam! That signature Chanel perfume smell hit me right away. Sales associate named Marie greeted me super quick – guy in a sharp tweed blazer gave me champagne before I even looked at anything. Felt fancy but kinda over-the-top.
Started wandering around checking displays. Saw this small leather goods section near the entrance. Picked up the card holder with interlocking CC logo first. Felt the lambskin – so freakin’ soft. Asked Marie about it, she smiled and said “This one’s our hero piece.” Noticed three ladies buying the exact same thing while I stood there.
What Actually Went Down
Tried talking myself out of it, honestly. But ended up swiping my card for that $350 cardholder. Then made the mistake of glancing at sunglasses. Marie brought out these oversized black frames with gold accents… yeah you guessed it. Threw down another $780 while mentally calculating my credit card bill.
- Cardholder – perfect size for 5 cards and cash
- Sunglasses – came with soft pouch AND hard case
- Got free perfume samples (smart move Chanel)
Tried on some ready-to-wear pieces but noped out fast. That $4k price tag on a simple tweed jacket? Nah. Saw another customer bargaining – girl got shut down so hard by the manager. Marie just shrugged at me like “Yeah happens daily.”
Final Thoughts
Walked out with just two things but honestly? Skip the clothing unless you’re loaded. Those small accessories actually hold value. Saw six people buying perfume – don’t get why since you can grab it cheaper at duty-free.

Funny thing? Stopped for pizza two blocks away wearing my new Chanel sunglasses. Felt ridiculous holding designer bags with grease dripping down my shirt. Street life vs boutique life man. 10/10 would buy the cardholder again though – already fits perfectly in all my pockets.
