Shopping at Ross Northgate Seattle WA: A Locals Guide to the Best Deals

Alright, so yesterday I decided to hit up Ross at Northgate in Seattle. I’d heard some good things about the deals you can find there, and I was in the mood for a little retail therapy without breaking the bank. This store is located at 300 NE Northgate Way. You can’t miss it. It is in the Northgate North Shopping Center.

First off, I looked up the store hours online. Gotta make sure I had the right info. Their website said they open at 8 AM and close at 11:30 PM, but some reviews mentioned they close at 11 PM. I decided to go in the afternoon, so no problems there.

I got there around 2 PM. Parking was a bit of a mess, but hey, it’s a shopping center, what did I expect? I found a spot after circling a couple of times and walked over. The store is pretty big, and it was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. You know, the usual weekend crowd.

I started in the clothing section. I’d heard that Ross is the place to go for brand-name stuff at discount prices. Well, it’s true! I browsed through racks of shirts, pants, and jackets. I found a few nice shirts that were like 60% off the original price. Score! I also checked out the shoe section, but nothing really caught my eye this time. I did see some folks snagging some good deals on sneakers though.

Then, I moved on to the home goods area. I’m a sucker for a good throw pillow or a quirky kitchen gadget. They had a bunch of stuff, but I managed to resist the urge to buy everything. I did pick up a cute little succulent planter for my desk, though. It was only five bucks!

I was there for like, almost an hour and a half, just browsing around. By the time I decided to check out, there was a bit of a line. Not too bad, maybe like a ten-minute wait. The cashier was friendly enough, and she scanned my stuff pretty quickly. A friendly guy helped me check out quickly and wished me a nice day.

Overall, it was a successful trip. I got some new shirts and a little something for my desk, and I didn’t spend a ton of money. I also heard from someone that markdowns happen every Monday, so maybe next time I will check it out on Monday.

Here’s my haul:

  • Two brand-name shirts – originally $30 each, got them for $12 each.
  • One succulent planter – $5.

So yeah, if you’re in Seattle and you’re looking for some good deals, I’d say Ross at Northgate is worth checking out. Just be prepared for a bit of a hunt, and maybe avoid the weekend rush if you can. Happy shopping!
