Why I Needed Those Photos
So yesterday, my buddy was chatting about cool celebrity couples online. He mentioned LeBron James and his wife, Savannah. Started thinking it’d be fun to have a few nice pictures saved on my phone, just for laughs or maybe a wallpaper. Figured, “How hard could this be?” Boy, was I wrong at first.

Search Engine Headache
Opened my browser like usual. Typed in “Lebron James wife pictures” and hit Enter. Tons of images popped up, great! Clicked on one I liked… nothing happened. Right-clicked – the “Save image” option was just gone! Tried another site. Same deal. Either the option was grayed out or clicking it did nothing. Frustrating. Kept trying different search results, probably clicked like 15 different websites. All locked down tight.
Big frustration points:
- Clicking “Download” buttons just opened new tabs asking me to sign up.
- Fake download buttons everywhere trying to install junk.
- Even Pinterest links asked for a login before letting me save anything.
Getting Blocked? Oh Come On
Got desperate. Visited some super sketchy looking “free download” sites promising the world. Tried two. For the first one, I picked a pic, clicked their big green DOWNLOAD button. Screen flashed. Nothing downloaded. Refreshed. Got a pop-up yelling “Access Denied!”. Got blocked by their security! The second site… my browser threw up one of those huge red warning pages. Yeah, nope. Closed that tab real fast. Not worth a virus.
A Stupid Simple Solution Hits Me
Finally sat back, feeling kinda dumb. Why was I jumping through hoops? Just wanted the picture on the screen. Didn’t need a “download” button. Duh. Opened up a news article with a really good picture of Savannah James right there in the article.
Here’s what I actually did:

- Made the image nice and big on my screen.
- Pressed the “PrtScn” button on my keyboard. Took a screenshot of my whole screen.
- Opened Paint. Pasted the screenshot in with CTRL+V.
- Cropped it down super quick using Paint’s basic tools, so only the picture was left.
- Clicked “File”, then “Save As”, chose JPEG. Done. Saved right to my desktop.
Felt so obvious afterward. Didn’t need any special website or download trick. Just the stuff already on my computer.
Final Thought & Why It Bugs Me
Got my pictures. Couple of decent ones saved locally now. Job done? Yeah. But it’s kinda ridiculous how websites make it so hard just to save a picture you can clearly see. Layers of blocking, fake buttons, logins… it’s annoying. Especially for photos of public figures everyone can see anywhere online already! Makes no sense. Just show the picture and be done with it.
