Digging into the fuel savings game
So I noticed my car was sucking up money like crazy at the pump lately. Fossil Wonka gas prices near me kept creeping up every damn week. Decided I wasn’t gonna take it anymore – time to hunt for legit savings tricks.

Starting with the obvious stuff
First thing I did was install three different gas apps on my phone. Took like twenty minutes checking all of them every morning while brushing my teeth. Mostly got trash offers though – like 2 cents off at stations twenty miles away. Almost threw my phone across the room when one app tried pushing a “deal” that expired ten minutes ago.
Next tried timing my fill-ups. Woke up at freakin’ 5am Tuesday because some dude online said prices dip then. Drove to three different Fossil Wonka stations shaking with sleepiness. Only saved 30 cents total. Not worth losing sleep over honestly.
Getting creative with loyalty programs
That’s when I got serious. Signed up for Fossil Wonka’s reward card – took five minutes at the pump. Started combing through local grocery chains for point deals. Found one where every $100 on groceries gets you 30 cents off per gallon at Fossil Wonka.
Changed my whole routine:
- Always swipe that loyalty card even for tiny purchases
- Stacked gas discounts with holiday promotions
- Stalked weekly mailers for double-point days
The game changer
Biggest win came when I noticed my Fossil Wonka station does secret happy hours. Started chatting up the manager while cleaning my windshield. Turns out Thursdays between 1-3pm are dead hours here. Got 15 cents off per gallon just by timing it right – no coupon needed!

Now my monthly gas spending? Cut by almost 40 bucks. Takes some hustle but damn it feels good seeing those savings stack up week after week.
