Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Raja Red” look all over my socials, and I just had to give it a shot. It looked so vibrant and, you know, regal, so I figured, why not? Here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First, I gathered all my stuff. This was the most crucial part, because I didn’t wanna be running around mid-look searching for a missing brush.
- I pulled out my trusty red eyeshadow palette – the one with all the shades, from like a light, almost pinky red to a deep, dark burgundy.
- Then, my red lipstick collection. Yep, I have several. Don’t judge.
- Eyeliner – gotta have that winged liner, right?
- Mascara, of course.
- And my usual base stuff: foundation, concealer, the works.
The Eyes
I primed my eyelids, because, you know, gotta make that color pop and last all day (or, well, all night in my case). I started with a lighter red shade all over my lid, kind of like a base.
Then, I took a medium red and blended it into my crease, making sure to really wing it out. This is where the “Raja” part really starts to come in, I think.
For extra drama, I used the deepest, darkest red on the outer corner of my eyes, and blended, blended, blended!
It must use three red color to finish the eye shadow makeup.
Next up: the liner. I went for a pretty thick, dramatic wing. I messed up a couple of times (who doesn’t?), but hey, that’s what makeup remover is for, and finally draw the perfect liner. After that, I curled my lashes and applied a few coats of mascara.
The Lips
I lined my lips with a red lip liner that matched the lipstick I chose (a bright, bold red, obviously). I always find that lining helps the lipstick stay put and prevents it from feathering.
Then came the lipstick – carefully applying it, making sure to get every corner. I blotted, and then applied another layer, because, why not? More is more, right?
Completing the Look
After the eyes and lips were done, I did my usual base routine. I applied foundation and concealer, making sure everything was blended seamlessly.
Then added the highlight, making sure it is shiny and the whole makeup looks perfect!
And… that was it! I felt pretty awesome, not gonna lie. It’s definitely a bold look, but I think I pulled it off. Or at least, I had fun trying! I might even try it with different shades of red next time, just to see how it changes the vibe.
It is very worthy to be a try!
