Okay, so I’ve been eyeing the Oris ProPilot X for a while now. It’s just such a cool, modern-looking pilot watch. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one, and man, I’m glad I did. Here’s how the whole thing went down.

First, I spent ages just looking at pictures online. You know, the usual – checking out different angles, wrist shots, the whole nine yards. I was really digging the titanium case and bracelet, and that skeletonized movement is just mesmerizing.
Then came the research phase. I dove into forums, read reviews, and watched a bunch of YouTube videos. Gotta make sure I’m making a good decision, right? It seemed like everyone was pretty happy with it, especially praising the comfort and the in-house movement.
The Hunt Begins
Next up, I started hunting for the best deal. I checked out the Oris website, then looked at some authorized dealers online. Prices were pretty consistent, but I wanted to see if I could find a slightly better offer.
I finally found one at a reputable online retailer. They had a small discount, plus free shipping, so I decided to go for it. Placed the order, and then the waiting game began… which is always the hardest part!
Unboxing Day!
A few days later, the package arrived! I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I carefully opened the box, and there it was – the ProPilot X, nestled in its fancy Oris packaging. It looked even better in person than in the pictures.

The first thing I did was put it on my wrist. The titanium is so light, it’s incredibly comfortable. I had to adjust the bracelet a bit, which was pretty easy to do with the included tools. I then gave the crown a few winds to power the watch up.
- Examined the watch closely, admiring the details of the dial and movement.
- Played around with the crown, setting the time and getting a feel for the winding mechanism.
- Wore it around the house for the rest of the day, just enjoying the heck out of it!
Seriously that is, It’s now been a couple of weeks, and I’m still loving this watch. It’s gotten a lot of compliments, and it’s just a joy to wear. Totally worth the investment!
