Okay, so I’ve been eyeing the New Balance 990v4 in gray for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a pair. I heard these were first introduced back in 2016, so they’ve been around for a bit.

I went online and browsed through a bunch of different stores. Compared prices, checked for sales, you know, the usual. Finally, I found a decent deal and placed my order. Waited a few days, and boom, they arrived at my doorstep.
Unboxing Time
Ripped open the box like a kid on Christmas morning. These shoes are definitely a sight to behold, very classic. The gray is really nice, not too flashy, just a good, solid color. They look even better in person than they did online.
Tried them on right away. Slipped my feet in, and man, they’re comfortable. I mean, really comfortable. I walked around the house, did a few little jogs, even jumped around a bit.
First Impressions
- Fit: They fit true to size. I wear a 10, and the 10s fit me perfectly.
- Comfort: Super comfortable. Like walking on clouds. I could wear these all day long. The ENCAP thingy seems to be working.
- Style: They look great. The suede and mesh combo is a classic. The grey colorway goes with pretty much everything.
- Quality: This feels like a top-notch shoe, the material feels premium.
Took them out for a spin the next day. Wore them to run some errands, walked around the park, and even did a light workout in them. They held up great. My feet felt great all day, no pain, no discomfort. These 990v4s are definitely a winner. I’m really happy with this purchase, and they will be my new daily shoes.
I’m gonna rock these shoes for a while and see how they hold up in the long run. But so far, I’m really impressed. They’re comfortable, they look good, and they seem to be well-made. What more could you ask for in a pair of shoes?
