Okay, so I’ve been seeing the Meredith Duxbury brow gel thing all over TikTok and I had to try it. You know, the one where she like, cakes it on? Yeah, that one. I was skeptical, but also… intrigued.
My Brow Gel Experiment
First, I grabbed my usual brow gel – the clear stuff, nothing fancy. I usually just swipe it on to keep things in place, you know, the normal way. But today, we’re going full Meredith.
I started by applying a generous amount, way more than I normally would. It felt… weird. Like, really goopy. I kept layering it on, following what I’d seen in the videos. My eyebrows were basically swimming in gel. It looked kinda crazy, I’m not gonna lie.
- Step 1: Apply a ton of gel.
- Step 2: Keep applying more.
- Step 3: Seriously, even more.
- Step 4: Question your life choices.
- step5: Too much.
Then came the “setting” part. I waited for it to dry, which took a surprisingly long time. I tapped my brows a few times – they felt… stiff. Like, crunchy stiff. I’m use some hair spary.
Once they were mostly dry, I went in with my brow pencil. It was a little harder to apply than usual because of the gel, but I managed to fill in the sparse areas. The gel definitely created a base for the pencil to grip onto, which was kinda cool.
The final result? Honestly, my brows looked pretty good! They were definitely more defined and “fluffy” than usual. They also stayed in place ALL. DAY. LONG. Like, through a workout and everything. Super hold.
But – and this is a big but – it felt super heavy. I was constantly aware of my eyebrows, if that makes sense. And taking it off at the end of the day was a whole process. I needed a good cleansing balm and some serious scrubbing.
So, would I do it again? Maybe for a special occasion where I need my brows to be absolutely bulletproof. But for everyday? Nah, it’s too much work (and too much product!). I’ll stick to my regular swipe of gel, thanks.
