Mens Wearhouse Tailor Cost Guide: Simple Price Breakdown.

Okay, so I’ve been needing a new suit for a while now, and I finally decided to bite the bullet and get one. I’ve heard some good things about Men’s Wearhouse, especially about their tailoring services, so I figured I’d give them a shot. I’m not really a suit expert or anything, so I was relying on them to help me out and make sure I got something that fit well.

First off, I went online to check out their website and see what kind of suits they had. They’ve got a ton of options, from different brands to different styles and fits. I spent a good hour just browsing and trying to figure out what I liked. Once I had a few ideas, I headed over to my local Men’s Wearhouse store.

When I got there, I was greeted by a salesperson who was pretty helpful. I told him I was looking for a new suit and wasn’t really sure where to start. He asked me a few questions about what kind of suit I needed, like whether it was for work or a special occasion, and what kind of style I preferred.

After chatting for a bit, he showed me a few different suits that he thought I might like. I tried on a couple of them, and with his guidance, I found one that I really liked and that seemed to fit pretty well off the rack. But, of course, it wasn’t perfect. That’s where the tailoring comes in.

The salesperson called over the tailor, a friendly older guy who seemed to know his stuff. He took one look at me in the suit and started pinning and marking it up. He explained what he was doing as he went, which I appreciated. He shortened the sleeves, took in the waist a bit, and adjusted the pants length. It was all pretty quick and painless.

Now, here’s the part you’re probably wondering about: the cost. I was a little nervous about how much this was all going to add up to. Turns out, it wasn’t too bad. Here’s a rough breakdown of what I paid for the tailoring:

  • Sleeve shortening: About $25.
  • Jacket waist adjustment: Around $20.
  • Pants hemming: Roughly $15.

So, all in all, I spent around $60 on the tailoring. Not too shabby, right? I mean, I’ve heard of people spending way more on getting a suit to fit just right. And considering I’ll probably be wearing this suit for a while, I think it was definitely worth it.

The Result

A week later, I picked up my tailored suit, and man, it looked great! It fit me like a glove, and I felt super confident in it. It’s amazing what a difference a little tailoring can make. I’ve worn it to a couple of events already, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. Overall, I’m really happy with my experience at Men’s Wearhouse. The staff was helpful, the tailor was skilled, and the price was reasonable. If you’re looking for a new suit and need some tailoring done, I’d definitely recommend checking them out.
