Okay, so I’ve been trying to cut down on calories, but I really love my Starbucks. Like, a lot. So, I decided to do some digging and figure out how to get my fix without, you know, totally blowing my diet. I spent a good chunk of time this past week experimenting, and here’s what I found:
My Low-Cal Starbucks Adventure
First, I started by looking at the Starbucks menu online. I was honestly overwhelmed, So, I focused on the drinks I usually order – mostly lattes and iced coffees.
Then, I started experimenting. It was a delicious, highly caffeinated week. I tried, several different combos, and the following worked best
- Iced Coffee with a Splash of Almond Milk:
I ordered it with one pump of sugar-free vanilla.
- Cold Brew with Sugar-Free Vanilla:
This is a classic, the cold brew is already pretty smooth.

Skinny Vanilla Latte:
I used nonfat milk and the sugar-free vanilla syrup, and I was good to go!
I learned you really have to be specific when you order. You need to say “nonfat milk” and “sugar-free syrup,” and even how many pumps. After some trial and error, I found a few go-to drinks that are actually pretty low in calories, and I enjoyed them!
It’s totally possible to still enjoy Starbucks while watching your calories. You just gotta be a little bit savvy and know what to ask for. Hope this helps some of you other Starbucks lovers out there!
