Okay, so, I wanted to get some Mae West pics today. It’s not like I’m a super fan or anything, but she’s a classic, right? So I went on a mission to find some good images.
First, I just hit up Google Images, you know, the usual. Typed in “Mae West,” and boom, tons of stuff. Most of it was the same old black and white photos you always see. But I dug around a bit and found some pretty cool ones. There were a couple of publicity shots from back in the day, all glamorous and posed. I saved a few of those to my “Old Hollywood” folder.
Then, I remembered a friend telling me about this site, Getty Images, that has a huge collection of photos. So I headed over there and searched for Mae West. Man, they have a lot! I mean, pages and pages of photos. Some were similar to what I found on Google, but there were also a bunch of candid shots, like her just chilling at Santa Monica. It was like seeing a different side of her. I grabbed a couple of those too.
After that, I decided to check out eBay, just for kicks. I know, it’s not the first place you think of for photos, but you never know. And guess what? I found some vintage photo prints for sale! Some were even signed! I didn’t buy any, ’cause, you know, money. But it was cool to see that those kinds of things are out there. I will keep searching these keywords in future:

So yeah, that was my little Mae West photo adventure today. I ended up with a nice collection of images. It was fun to dive into the past a little and see all those pictures of such an icon.
