Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “just between trends” thing popping up everywhere, and I was like, “What the heck is this?” So, naturally, I had to try it out myself. You know, for science… and for fun, of course.
First, I scrolled through a bunch of videos to get a feel for it. Seemed simple enough, mostly people showing off the differences between two things, sometimes in a funny way, sometimes more seriously.
My “Just Between” Idea
I decided to do one comparing my mornings before coffee versus after coffee. Because, let’s be real, that’s a HUGE difference.
- Before Coffee: Think zombie apocalypse. Slow movements, grunting, the inability to form coherent sentences.
- After Coffee: Suddenly, I’m a functioning human! I can smile, talk, maybe even do a little dance. It’s a miracle, really.
Next, I grabbed my phone and started filming. The “before” part was easy – I just rolled out of bed and hit record. No acting required, that’s just my natural state.
Then, I made my coffee (extra strong, obviously) and filmed the “after” part. I tried to look all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, which was a bit of a stretch, but I think I pulled it off.
The editing part was pretty straightforward. I just trimmed the clips, added some text, and slapped on a trending sound. Boom! Done.
I posted it, and… well, it didn’t exactly go viral. But hey, a few friends got a good laugh, and that’s all that matters. Plus, now I can say I officially participated in a TikTok trend. Check that off my bucket list!
