Is Sol de Janeiro a Hair Mist? Learn All About This Popular Product!

Okay, so, I’ve been seeing Sol de Janeiro products everywhere lately, and I got curious. The name itself, “Sol de Janeiro,” sounds so exotic, like a Brazilian summer or something. Turns out, that’s exactly what they’re going for. It literally means “Sun of January,” which is when the sun is strongest in Brazil. I thought, well, anything that can bottle up that sunny vibe is worth checking out, right?

Their most famous product seems to be this body mist, the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’62. People online are obsessed with it, saying it’s the best scent ever. Everyone kept talking about this thing. So of course I had to see what all the hype was about. They also have other stuff like body butters, deodorants, and hair products. I found that there’s even a whole haircare line, although their main focus seems to be on fine to medium hair. But I’ve heard even people with other hair types like it, so I decided to start with the body mist. I figured it would be the easiest way to test it on my hair. So I did some research.

I started digging around to see if it’s even okay to put this body mist on hair. Some sources said it’s fine. I mean, it makes sense, right? If it is made for your body, it should be okay for your hair, shouldn’t it? And people were saying it actually makes hair smooth and shiny. I even read it could act as a heat protectant. So, I went for it. I ordered a bottle of the Cheirosa ’62.

When it arrived, I sprayed it on my hair, and guess what? My hair felt amazing! It was soft and did seem to have a little extra shine. And the smell! It is like a delicious, warm, kind of nutty scent. I get why people love it so much. I haven’t used any heat tools on my hair since I started using it, so I can’t say for sure if it works as a heat protectant. But honestly, just for the way it makes my hair feel and smell, I’m sold.

I’ve also heard that their body butters aren’t for your face. I guess that makes sense. I mean, your face skin is a bit more sensitive, right? I haven’t tried their other hair products yet, but after this, I’m definitely curious. They have some kind of leave-in conditioner that sounds interesting. This whole experience has been pretty cool. I took a chance on a product I saw online, and it actually turned out to be great.

From now on, I should be more careful with my choice next time, but this was absolutely a good experience. If you’re looking for something to make your hair smell amazing and feel softer, you might want to give this Sol de Janeiro mist a try. Just my two cents!
