Hey everyone, today I’m gonna show you what’s inside my Michael Kors bag. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular bag I use almost every day. I wanted to see what all I actually carry around, so I figured, why not make a little post about it?
First off, I dumped everything out onto my kitchen table. Wow, it was a bigger pile than I expected! There’s a ton of stuff crammed in there. I then picked up the bag and gave it a good shake to make sure nothing was hiding in the corners or stuck to the lining. It is made of durable material and the construction is solid.
Next, I started sorting through the mess. I made a few piles: one for essentials, one for makeup, and one for just random junk. My essentials are pretty standard—wallet, phone, keys. Nothing exciting there. I placed them in one pile and then moved them to the side.
Essentials
- Wallet: A simple black leather one. It’s got my ID, some cash, and a few cards.
- Phone: Just my regular old iPhone. Can’t live without it, right? I always make sure it is charged and with me.
- Keys: House keys, car keys, and a little keychain with a picture of my dog. I checked to make sure all the keys that should be there were there.
Then there’s the makeup. I don’t wear a lot, but I always carry a few things for touch-ups. I don’t know how they get so messy, but it seems to be a fact of life that makeup and the inside of bags don’t get along. I sorted through it and found a few things.
Makeup
- Lipstick: A classic red shade. It adds a pop of color when I need it.
- Compact: Just a basic powder to keep the shine away. I pressed it to make sure it wasn’t cracked.
- Mascara: This one’s pretty much empty, but I always keep it around just in case. It seems I always forget to throw away empties!
The junk pile was the biggest, of course. Receipts, old gum wrappers, a random button—you name it. I threw most of it in the trash. I did find a few things I had forgotten about, like an old movie ticket stub and a couple of hair ties. I wondered where I had gotten some of it from, as I didn’t even remember half of it.
After cleaning everything out, I wiped down the inside of the bag with a damp cloth. It was surprisingly dirty! I left it to dry while I organized the stuff I was putting back in. I also took a baby wipe and cleaned off my essentials and makeup to get rid of any residue or buildup.
Finally, I carefully placed my essentials and makeup back into the bag. It felt so much lighter and cleaner. I zipped it up and put it back on its usual hook by the door. I should probably do this more often, honestly. It’s kind of satisfying to have a clean and organized bag, even if it’s just for a little while. I decided I would try to clean it out at least once a month from now on.
