My Big Fat Sezane Adventure
So last week, I decided I HAD to check out the new Sezane store in LA. Heard all the buzz about their cozy Parisian vibe and killer knits, you know? But then reality hit: LA traffic. Just Googled “Sezane Los Angeles address” – found it tucked away near Beverly and La Cienega. Okay, easy enough… until you think about getting there. My mission? Figure out the least headache-inducing way to get there.

Dodging Disaster: My Research Phase
First, my lazy brain screamed: “Just drive!” Opened my Maps app. Ugh. Prime time showed that iconic LA deep red jam. Parking searches near the store promised nightmares and wallet pain – finding a spot? Maybe. Paying for it? Definitely. Driving = Big Nope.
Next thought: Rideshare. Fired up Lyft for a test price quote from my apartment. Daytime price was… okay. But that nagging voice? “What if it surges crazy later? What if my return trip costs triple?” Felt risky.
Trying My Luck with Transit
Time to be an adult. I downloaded the LA Metro app like a responsible citizen. Searched routes – turned out getting exactly there via bus or train wasn’t super direct from my place. Seemed like I’d need two buses with maybe a short walk, pushing the trip close to an hour. Bit of a schlep, honestly. Kinda intimidated me, I’ll admit it.
Execution Time: Putting Rubber to Pavement
D-Day arrived. I chickened out on the bus plan (too many unknowns). Decided to split the baby:
- Metro Rail to the Neighborhood: Hopped the Expo Line heading west. Much smoother than sitting in a car. Enjoyed the ride.
- Walk + Uber: Got off at a sensible stop not too far away (though still a solid 10-minute brisk walk). Checked the Uber app right there on the platform – $7 for the last mile?! Sold! Jumped in that Prius before they could cancel.
Victory! (And Lessons Learned)
Boom! Arrived at Sezane calm and collected. No parking rage, no sweating through my shirt after a long bus hike. Inside: heaven. Beautiful scarves, lovely cardigans… totally worth the journey setup.

On the way back?
- Simply walked out of the crazy parking zone near Beverly/La Cienega.
- Found a less pricey street corner a couple blocks down.
- Called another Uber home, direct route.
The Verdict? Hybrid Mode Wins.
For me, chilling on the train most of the way then grabbing an affordable last-mile Uber was the absolute sweet spot. Avoided the worst traffic chunks, saved cash compared to ubering the whole distance, and arrived sane. Driving into that mess + hunting for parking? Forget it unless you crave stress. Pure transit could maybe work for you, but factor in potential transfers and walking – I wanted easier.
Bottom line: Know your pain points, mix the options. LA demands it! Getting to Sezane is totally doable without the meltdown.
