Alright, let’s talk about these Jordan 13 Red Greys. Been meaning to share how I got my hands on these and what I think after wearing ’em for a bit.

So, I first saw a picture, maybe online, maybe someone posted it somewhere. Can’t quite remember. But the look just grabbed me. You know how it is sometimes? That red and grey combo on the 13 silhouette, it just looked right. Not too loud, but definitely not boring. I knew right then I had to track a pair down.

Finding them wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. Seems like everyone else had the same idea, or maybe the release was limited, who knows. Checked a few usual spots online, sold out. Went to a couple of local stores, no luck. Started asking around, you know, putting the word out. Finally, a buddy messaged me, said he knew a guy who had my size, barely worn. Bit of back and forth, agreed on a price, and boom, they were mine. Felt good, like a successful hunt.

Getting Them Home

When the box arrived, I opened it up pretty quick. You get that new shoe smell, or in this case, almost-new shoe smell. Pulled them out. The materials felt solid. That mix of leather and whatever that grey material is, felt sturdy. The red parts really popped against the grey. Gave them a good look over, checked the soles, the stitching, everything. Looked pretty clean.

Wearing Them Out

First time I put them on, they felt snug, like most Jordans do at first. The 13s have that unique feel, kinda supportive around the ankle. Walked around the house a bit to get used to them. Felt pretty good, honestly. Comfortable enough for walking around all day.

  • First Outing: Just wore them for a casual day out. Matched them with some simple jeans and a grey hoodie. Got a few looks, maybe a nod from another sneaker guy. Felt cool wearing them.
  • Comfort Level: After breaking them in a bit, they got even more comfortable. The cushioning is decent, not the softest ever, but good for a retro shoe. No complaints walking around the city or just hanging out.
  • Keeping ’em Clean: This is the part nobody loves, right? Especially with the grey parts, gotta be careful. Had a close call with some spilled coffee. Managed to wipe it off quick before it stained. Now I’m extra careful. Usually just give them a quick wipe down with a damp cloth after wearing them if they look dusty. Got some proper cleaner for tougher spots, but try not to use it too often.

Overall thoughts? Yeah, I really dig these Jordan 13 Red Greys. They look good, feel pretty good on foot once you break ’em in, and they just have that classic Jordan vibe. Finding them was a bit of a hassle, but worth it in the end. They’re a solid pair in my rotation now. Just gotta keep ’em clean, that’s the main thing. But hey, that’s part of the game when you like nice kicks, right?
