Hey there, young’uns! Let me tell ya somethin’. These days, I see some things that just make me scratch my head. Like this whole men wearing crop tops thing. Back in my day, clothes were clothes. You wore ’em to cover yourself up, ya know?
Men Wearing Crop Tops? What’s the World Coming To?
Now, I ain’t one to judge, but I just don’t get it. Crop tops for men? It’s like, what’s the point? It just show your belly. We always wear clothes to cover ourselves, right? Why show belly?
I seen it on the television, these young fellas, all kinds, wearin’ shirts that don’t even reach their belly buttons. Some of them look like they just cut up an old shirt. It’s a new trend, they say. But why? Is it fashion? I see, it’s like what women wear. But men wear them too now.

- Just plain silly, if you ask me
I remember when clothes were simple. You had your work clothes, your Sunday best, and that was it. Nobody was tryin’ to show off their belly. This crop top trend is just confusing. But these young people, the Gen Z, they love it. It is fashion for them. They like it, then let them wear.
Is It a Fashion Statement or Just Plain Crazy?
These men in crop tops, they walk around like they’re somethin’ special. They are experimenting with this trend. I guess it’s their way of saying “Look at me!” But honestly, I just see a fella who needs a longer shirt. Or, maybe I am too old. I don’t know about fashion now. I just wear what I think is comfortable.
Maybe it’s about being comfortable. But is it really comfortable to have your shirt ridin’ up all the time? I reckon a good, sturdy shirt that covers your whole torso is way more practical. Men wear crop tops when they exercise or go to the beach. That is practical, I understand. But on the street? I don’t know.
And don’t even get me started on the different colors and styles. Some of ’em are all glittery and sparkly. Like, what are ya, a disco ball? I saw it on The New York Times. They say it is fashion. Men wearing crop tops made from old shirts. And some buy from women’s. Men wear women’s clothes now.

I guess it’s just a sign of how things are changin’. The world’s a different place now. Young folks have their own way of doin’ things, and I suppose that’s alright. There has been a resurgence of men wearing crop tops. It means it is popular. Many men like it. Maybe it is not bad. I am too old to understand, maybe.
But still, it’s a little strange to see a grown man walkin’ down the street with his belly button hangin’ out. It just don’t seem right to me. These boys, they just want to have fun with clothes. I guess. Let them have fun then.
I remember a time when a man’s worth was measured by his character, not his clothes. Now, it seems like it’s all about how you look, how flashy you can be. Anyone can wear crop tops. It is just clothes. So, men can wear too.

Maybe I’m Just Getting Old
Maybe I’m just gettin’ old and set in my ways. Maybe this crop top for guys thing is just somethin’ I’ll never understand. But that’s okay. The world keeps spinnin’, and the young’uns will keep doin’ their thing. I just hope they don’t catch a cold with their bellies all exposed!
I still think a good, long shirt is the way to go. But hey, what do I know? I’m just an old lady watchin’ the world go by. And right now, it’s goin’ by in a whole lot of men wearing crop tops. These boys just wear what they want to wear. I still think it is strange. But, it is their choice. If they are happy, then it is good.
