So last week my sister texts me outta nowhere says she needs this specific Gucci bag for some wedding next month. Like, yesterday. Guess who gets volunteered to check the Boston store hours? Yep, me.

The Online Search Mess
First thing I did was grab my phone like anybody else. Typed “Gucci store Boston hours” real quick. Google throws up a bunch of links – some old blog posts, a tourist site mentioning pre-pandemic times, even some page saying they’re closed on Sundays which I knew couldn’t be right. Felt like digging through a junk drawer. Clicked on what looked like the official Gucci site, spent 10 minutes trying to find the damn store locator. Finally found it, picked the Boston location… bam. Just shows the address and phone number. Hours? Nada. Useless. Checked the mall’s own site too – same thing, listed the store but no hours posted. Why do places make this so hard?
Okay, fine. Old school method. I dialed the number listed. Ring… ring… rings out. Tried it three times over the afternoon. Dead end. At this point, I’m grumbling. Just need to know when they open tomorrow!
Deciding to Just Go
Figured the only way to get a straight answer was eyeballing it myself. Saved wasting a trip later when we actually needed to shop. Jumped in my car after work yesterday, drove downtown. Traffic was its usual nightmare, found parking on Newbury Street after circling like a vulture for 15 minutes. Those meters eat coins faster than candy.
Trudged down to the Gucci spot. Real fancy place, windows all clean, bags looking perfect. Fancier than my apartment, that’s for sure. And right there, stuck smack on the big glass door facing the street… the hours printed clean and clear.
- Monday to Saturday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Snapped a pic with my phone right then. Proof. Felt kinda silly making the trip just for that, but hey, mission accomplished. At least now I know for next time. Called my sister right there on the sidewalk: “Okay, listen up. Weekdays and Sat, 10-7. Sundays open at 11.” Easy peasy. Also noticed the place was practically empty inside. Guess rich people shop at weird hours or something.
