Okay, folks, let’s talk about my little adventure with the Air Jordan XI Low Citrus.

I’ve always been a sucker for bright, clean colorways, especially on classic silhouettes. So, when I saw the Citrus XIs were making a comeback, I knew I had to try to cop a pair. I say “try” because, as any sneakerhead knows, getting your hands on a hyped release is never a guaranteed thing.
The Hunt Begins
First things first, I checked all the usual online retailers. No luck. Sold out instantly, as expected. Then, I entered every raffle I could find. You know the drill: follow this account, tag three friends, repost this picture, pray to the sneaker gods… the whole nine yards. I did all of that, crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
Strike Out…and Then…
Raffle results started rolling in. Email after email, each one a polite (or not-so-polite) “better luck next time.” It was looking grim. I was starting to accept defeat, mentally preparing myself to pay resale prices if I really wanted them.
Local Store Miracle
But then, on a whim, I decided to check a local sneaker shop. I figured, hey, it couldn’t hurt. I walked in, and there they were, sitting on the shelf in my size. My eyes popped out. I did a double take, and i was so happy!
Securing the Goods
I practically ran to the counter. Asked the employee to hold my size, I didn’t want to have any chances. Paid, grabbed the box, and walked out feeling like I’d won the lottery.

It was a simple purchase, yes, but the thrill of finding them unexpectedly made it so much sweeter.
Rocking the Citrus
Since then, they’ve become one of my go-to pairs. They’re comfortable, the color pops, and they always get compliments. The patent leather, the white upper, and that citrus orange outsole… it’s just a perfect * every time I lace them up, I’m reminded of that lucky day at the local shop.
