Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “elf” trend all over TikTok, and I finally decided to give it a shot. You know, the one where you use that filter to make yourself look like a pointy-eared, ethereal being? Yeah, that one.
Getting Started
First things first, I opened up TikTok. Pretty obvious, I know. Then, I went to the search bar and typed in “elf filter” or something like that. There are a bunch of them, honestly, so I just picked one that looked kinda cool. It had these sparkly effects and made my eyes look all glowy.
The Recording Process
Next, I hit the record button. Easy peasy. Now, here’s where it gets a little tricky. I’m not exactly a pro at these TikTok dances or transitions, so I just tried to do something simple. I think I attempted some kind of slow-motion hand movement thing. Don’t judge, I’m new at this!
I actually recorded a few different versions. One where I tried to look all serious and mysterious, like a real elf from a fantasy movie. Then another where I just goofed around and made silly faces. Because, why not?
Adding Some Flair
After I picked the best take (which was probably the goofy one, let’s be real), I started messing with the other effects. TikTok has tons of them. I added some music – something that sounded kinda mystical and magical. I also played around with the speed settings, making parts of the video slow-motion and others regular speed.
The Final Touches
Finally, I added a caption. Something short and sweet, like “Embracing my inner elf” or something equally cheesy. I also threw in a few relevant hashtags, like #elffilter #tiktoktrend #fantasy. You know, the usual.
Posting and Praying
And then… I posted it. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t totally flop! It’s always a gamble with these TikTok trends. Sometimes they blow up, sometimes they just vanish into the abyss of the internet. Either way, it was fun to try something new and get a little creative. Or at least, attempt to. We’ll see what happens!
