Okay, so, the other day I was looking to switch up my usual scent. You know, something different. And I had heard people talking about this “City of Stars” by LV. Figured, why not give it a shot, right?

First thing I did was head over to the LV store. It’s always a bit intimidating walking into those places, feels like I should be dressed fancier. But hey, I braved it. Once inside, I made a beeline for the fragrance section. There were so many bottles, all looking super sleek. I spotted “City of Stars” – the bottle looked pretty cool, all blue and stuff.
I asked one of the sales associates if I could test it out. She sprayed some on one of those little paper strips. I took a whiff, and my initial thought was, “Whoa, that’s citrusy!” Definitely a strong, fruity smell at first. I decided to walk around a bit, let the scent settle, you know?
After about, I don’t know, 20 minutes maybe, I smelled the paper again. It had changed a bit. The citrus was still there, but it wasn’t as overpowering. There were other scents coming through, something a bit floral, maybe? And something kind of musky. It was complex, I’ll give it that.
I ended up spraying some on my wrist to see how it would react with my skin. I walked around the mall, doing some other shopping, and I kept getting these pleasant whiffs of the fragrance. It wasn’t too heavy, but it was definitely noticeable.
Honestly, I was on the fence for a while. I liked it, but it was different from what I usually go for. More… vibrant, maybe? It was definitely giving off some summer vibes, even though it’s not summer anymore, it reminded me of summer night.

Eventually, I decided to just go for it. I went back to the LV store and bought a bottle. I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’m really digging it. It’s a nice change of pace, it lasts a long time on my skin, and I’ve even gotten a few compliments on it.
- First impression: Super citrusy and fruity.
- After a while: Citrus mellowed out, floral and musky notes emerged.
- On skin: Reacted well, lasted a long time, not too overpowering.
- Overall: A vibrant, summery scent, good for a change of pace.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with “City of Stars.” It’s definitely a unique fragrance, and I think it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for something new. Just be prepared for that initial citrus blast!
