Okay, so, I’ve been totally obsessed with this Dior lip glow lately, the 001 shade. It’s like, the perfect natural pink, you know? I just love how it looks on me.
And I swear, I went through their Addict Lip Glow faster than any other lip balm I’ve ever used. It is just perfect for a subtle look.
So I was digging around the Dior beauty stuff online, just browsing, and saw they have all sorts of other cool things. Their blushes look amazing, and then there’s this Dior Addict Lip Maximizer gloss, which is supposed to be, like, their most iconic one. They are also known for their fashion. I mean, who isn’t, right?
But then, I stumbled upon this thing called a “dior lipgloss necklace” on some custom websites. I thought, “Wait, what? That’s a thing?” I had to check it out.
So I looked around and saw lots of people were making them. It is kind of like taking a mini Dior lip gloss and turning it into a necklace pendant. Super unique, right?
I decided, “I gotta try this!” I found a little empty Dior gloss container I had. I cleaned it out real good, making sure there was no product left inside. It was a bit tricky, but I managed.
- First, I soaked it in some warm, soapy water.
- Then, I used a small brush to scrub the inside.
- Finally, I rinsed it out thoroughly and let it air dry completely.
Next, I needed to find a way to attach it to a necklace chain. I had an old silver chain lying around that I thought would be perfect. I found a small jump ring and used some pliers to open it up. I carefully attached the jump ring to the little loop on the top of the gloss container.
Then, I connected the jump ring to the necklace chain and closed it up with the pliers. It was a bit fiddly, but I got it eventually!
And there you have it! My very own Dior lip gloss necklace. I think it turned out pretty cool. It’s definitely a conversation starter. I wore it out the other day, and a few people asked me about it.
A Few More Thoughts
It’s a fun little DIY project if you’re into fashion and beauty. It’s also a great way to repurpose something you might otherwise throw away. Plus, it’s a unique piece of jewelry that you won’t see everyone else wearing. You could probably do this with other brands too, but I just happened to have a Dior one on hand.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of lip gloss necklaces. Maybe I’ll try making another one with a different gloss next time. We’ll see!
