Okay, here’s my blog post about that Charlie D’Amelio singing live thing. It was a whole adventure, lemme tell ya!
So, I saw this buzz online about Charlie D’Amelio singing live. I was like, “Okay, gotta see this.” Not a huge fan, but curious, ya know?
First thing I did was hit up YouTube. Figured that’s where the action would be. Typed in “Charlie D’Amelio live singing” and boom, tons of videos popped up. I clicked on a few, looking for a full performance, not just some reaction videos or snippets.
Pro-tip: Filter by “Live” when you’re searching. Saves you a bunch of time wading through the garbage.
Okay, so I found a couple of videos that looked promising. One was from some random livestream, another was a recording of what looked like a radio show appearance. The livestream one was kinda rough, the audio was all over the place. Sounded like it was recorded with a potato.
The radio show one was better quality. Actually had mics and stuff. Listened for a bit, and… well, let’s just say she’s no Mariah Carey. But she was giving it her all, you could tell. Kinda pitchy in places, but hey, who am I to judge?
Then I thought, “Maybe she’s done a proper concert or something?” Went over to Google, searched for “Charlie D’Amelio concert live.” Found a few articles about appearances at festivals, but no dedicated solo concerts, at least not that I could find easily.
- Checked YouTube again, using festival names as keywords.
- Scrolled through a bunch of fan vids and shaky camera footage.
- Found a clip from some Jingle Ball thing. Better audio, better stage setup. Still… not amazing, but decent.
After bouncing around YouTube and Google for a good hour, I kinda gave up on finding some pristine, professionally recorded performance. The best I could find were those radio show rips and festival snippets.
Ultimately, the whole experience was…meh. Not terrible, not great. More interesting as a social media experiment, I guess. Like, seeing how her fans react to her singing versus just her dancing. Definitely some strong opinions out there!
I think the biggest lesson I learned was, if you wanna hear a celeb sing live, temper your expectations. It’s probably not gonna be perfect. But hey, at least they’re trying, right?
