Axe Tobacco and Amber Dupe: Find Cheaper Fragrance Here!

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to mess around with scents for a while, you know, like a DIY kind of thing. I saw this “Axe Tobacco and Amber” thing online and thought, “Why not?” I mean, it sounded kinda cool, right? Manly, even. So, I decided to give it a shot.

Axe Tobacco and Amber Dupe: Find Cheaper Fragrance Here!

First, I needed to get my hands on the stuff. I grabbed some:

  • Tobacco Absolute: This stuff is STRONG. Like, open-the-windows strong. It smells like, well, really intense tobacco. I got a small bottle online – a little goes a long way.
  • Amber Essential Oil: I wanted that warm, resinous vibe, so I got some amber essential oil. Make sure it’s the real deal, not some synthetic fragrance oil.
  • Carrier Oil: I used plain old jojoba oil, because that’s what I had for my beard. You could use something else, I guess like, sweet almond, or fractioned cocnut oil.
  • Small glass bottles: the dark, small ones with droppers, to keep the light out.

Alright, time to actually DO this. I cleared off a space in the kitchen, grabbed a small bowl, and put on some gloves. I am not trying to smell like a walking cigar all day! I carefully measured out my carrier oil. Honestly, eyeballed it, I put in, like, a tablespoon or two of jojoba oil. It is important that the carrier oil be measured first.

Then, for the amber, I did, oh, maybe 8-10 drops? I figured I could always add more, but I didn’t want to overdo it. The tobacco absolute, though…that was a different story. I used a toothpick, dipped the very tip, and swirl in a bowl, and it was PLENTY. I swear, one full drop would have been way too much, so be very careful. I swirled it all together, gave it a good sniff, and adjusted. I added a couple more drops of amber to balance it out. Once it smelled kinda right, I carefully poured the mix into one of my little dark bottles.

The Final Result

After letting it sit for, like, a day or two, I tried it out. It’s…interesting. Definitely strong, definitely tobacco-y, but with that warm amber underneath. It’s not exactly like the Axe stuff, I’m sure, but it’s my own unique blend, and I think that’s pretty cool. I put a tiny bit on my wrists, and it lasted for hours. Wife said it was “different” I think, but it is a good different.

I’m going to keep playing around with different ratios, maybe add a touch of something else next time, like a tiny amount of vanilla or something, to give it that extra kick. But for a first try, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! If you are brave, I would suggest you try it too!
