Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for some new sneakers, and I was thinking, “Why not try something a little…fancy?” I’ve seen those Dior tennis shoes on Instagram, the ones with the oblique pattern, and, I gotta admit, I was intrigued. So, I decided to dive in and see what the fuss was all about. This is how it went down.

First Steps: Window Shopping (Digitally, Of Course)
First, I scoured the internet. I looked at tons of pictures, trying to get a feel for the different styles. There were so many! High-tops, low-tops, different colors, some with crystals…it was a lot to take in. I spent a good couple of hours just browsing and making mental notes of the ones I liked best.
The Deep Dive: Checking the Details
Next, I zoomed in. Like, really zoomed in. I wanted to see the stitching, the materials, how the logo was placed – all that tiny stuff that separates a good shoe from a great one. I also, of course, paid attention to the different color choices and the patterns. Because, you know, decisions, decisions. And the price… yeah, that was something i looked at, a couple of times.
Trying Them On (In My Mind)
- I imagined myself wearing them.
- Picture this: me, rocking those shoes with jeans, with a skirt, maybe even with a dress. Could I pull it off?
- I thought, what will others think?
I started picturing different outfits and trying to figure out if these shoes were something I could actually wear regularly, or if they’d just sit in my closet looking pretty.
Reality Check: Could I REALLY Do This?
After all that, I took a step back. Looked at my budget, my closet, my actual life. These shoes, they’re an investment, you know? So, I had to be realistic. Could I justify the purchase? Would I wear them enough? Were they me? That was the big question. I’ll admit, I’m still thinking about it. The temptation is real!
