Adjusting Your iwc pilots chrono iw371704 Bracelet? (A Quick & Simple DIY Guide)

Okay, so I recently got my hands on a beautiful IWC Pilot’s Chronograph, the IW371704 model. The watch itself is amazing, but the bracelet was just a tad too loose. It was driving me crazy, sliding around on my wrist. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and adjust it myself.

Adjusting Your iwc pilots chrono iw371704 Bracelet? (A Quick & Simple DIY Guide)

First, I gathered my tools. I didn’t have any “official” watch tools, but I found some stuff around the house that worked just fine. I grabbed:

  • A small, flat-head screwdriver (I think it was for eyeglasses).
  • A paperclip (unbent, of course).
  • A soft cloth to protect the watch.

Next, I located the adjustment pins on the bracelet. These are tiny little pins holding the links together. They’re on the inside of the bracelet, and you’ll see small holes where you can access them.

I carefully inserted the paperclip into one of the holes and gently pushed the pin out. It didn’t come out all the way, which is good – you don’t want to lose those little guys! I pushed it just enough so I could separate the links.

Then I just use screwdriver removed the extra links. Then I decided I wanted to remove two links. I figured that would be enough to get a snug fit.

After taking out the links, I reconnected the bracelet. This was a little tricky. I had to line up the holes and carefully push the pin back in. I used the flat-head screwdriver to help push it all the way through. It took a bit of wiggling, but I got it.

Once the pin was back in, I checked the fit. Perfect! The watch felt secure on my wrist, not too tight, not too loose.

Finally, I gave the watch a quick wipe with the soft cloth to remove any fingerprints or smudges. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s always satisfying to do these little DIY projects, and now my IWC fits perfectly!
