Unboxing the Pokemon Tiffany and Co Collection: First Look

Alright, let’s talk about this Pokemon Tiffany and Co thing, you know? I saw some pictures, shiny stuff, little critters I kinda recognize from the grandkids’ games.

Unboxing the Pokemon Tiffany and Co Collection: First Look

So, they got this Daniel Arsham fella, an artist, right? He’s mixed up Pokemon with Tiffany, that fancy jewelry place. They call it a “capsule collection,” sounds like somethin’ you’d take for a cold, but it ain’t pills. It’s necklaces and pendants, all shiny and expensive-lookin’.

They got all sorts of Pokemon on ‘em. Pikachu, that yellow mouse thing, everyone knows that one. Then there’s Charmander, the fire lizard, Squirtle, the water turtle… Jigglypuff, that pink singin’ balloon, and Cubone, the one with the skull on its head. Poor thing, always makes me a little sad.

  • Pikachu – He’s the star, always is. The priciest one too, they say.
  • Charmander – Fiery little fella, looks good in gold, I guess.
  • Squirtle – Cute little turtle, always liked him.
  • Jigglypuff – Pink and puffy, kinda girly, you know?
  • Cubone – That one’s a bit of a downer, but hey, some folks like it.

Now, I ain’t no expert on jewelry. Back in my day, a simple necklace was enough. But this stuff, it’s somethin’ else. They say the cheapest piece is over a thousand dollars! Can you believe it? And that Pikachu one? Twenty-nine thousand dollars! That’s more than my house is worth, I reckon.

It’s a “collaboration,” they call it. Pokemon Company, Tiffany, and that Arsham guy all workin’ together. Seems like a strange bunch, but what do I know? They make this “Ripple in Time” art thing, and now they put it on jewelry. Rich folks got their ways, I tell ya.

I saw some pictures online, real close-up. The craftsmanship looks good, I guess. Shiny metal, little diamonds maybe? I can’t tell for sure. They say it’s “reimagined” art. Sounds fancy. To me, it just looks like Pokemon on expensive necklaces, but hey, I’m just an old lady.

They made nine pieces all together. Pendants and necklaces, like I said. Different Pokemon, different prices. You could probably buy a whole car for the price of that Pikachu one. It’s crazy, but I guess there are people out there who got that kinda money to spend.

They say this collection ain’t available everywhere. “Currently unavailable in your region,” that’s what the fancy websites say. Probably means it’s only for big cities or other countries. Not that I’d buy it anyway. What would I do with a twenty-nine thousand dollar Pikachu necklace? Wear it to the grocery store? Nah, I’ll stick to my good old pearls.

This Pokemon Tiffany and Co thing, it’s a whole different world. A world of expensive jewelry and fancy art. It’s not my world, that’s for sure. But it’s interesting to see, I guess. Pokemon, Tiffany, who woulda thought? It just goes to show you, they’ll put anything on anything these days, long as they can make a buck.

So, if you got a pile of money lyin’ around and you love Pokemon, maybe this is for you. Go ahead and buy yourself a shiny Pikachu. Me? I’ll stick to watching my grandkids play their games and wearin’ my pearls. That’s fancy enough for me. And honestly, those little critters are kinda cute, even if they are on some crazy expensive jewelry. Makes me think of the simpler things in life, you know? Like a good cup of coffee and a warm biscuit. Now that’s somethin’ worth more than all the gold in the world, far as I’m concerned.

Pokemon jewelry. Who knew? It’s a funny ol’ world, ain’t it?
