Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with the 70s lately, especially the iconic looks. And who’s more iconic than Twiggy? I decided I was gonna try and recreate her signature style, 70s edition. It was… a journey, let me tell you.

Getting Started
First, I spent like, hours, just scrolling through pictures online. I needed to really get the vibe, you know? It wasn’t just about the clothes, it was the whole attitude.
The Outfit Hunt
Then came the hard part: finding the clothes. I hit up a bunch of vintage stores. It was kind of a mess. So many floral prints, so much polyester!
- I dug through racks and racks, and finally, I found this amazing A-line mini dress. It was bright orange, with these huge white flowers. So 70s!
- I also scored some white go-go boots! They were a little scuffed, but that just added to the authentic vibe, right?
The Makeup Experiment
Next up: the makeup. Twiggy’s look is ALL about the eyes. I watched a ton of tutorials online.
I tried, and I tried, and I tried again to get those dramatic lashes and that cut crease. Let’s just say there was a lot of makeup remover * took forever, seriously. I almost gave up, like, ten times. Mascara everywhere!
The Hair Struggle
The hair was another challenge. I don’t have short hair, so I tried to tuck it up and create that rounded 60-70s look. Bobby pins, bobby pins, bobby pins… everywhere.

The Final Result
Finally, after what felt like a million years, I put it all together. I slipped on the dress, pulled on the boots, and looked in the mirror. It wasn’t perfect, definitely not as polished as the original Twiggy, but I felt…groovy! I snapped a few pictures, and yeah, I kinda nailed that 70s vibe, even if it was a bit messy.
It was a fun experiment, though. Maybe I’ll try another iconic look next week!
