Okay, so Thanksgiving was coming up, right? And like always, I was thinking about last-minute stuff. You know how it is, suddenly you realize you forgot the cranberry sauce, or maybe need extra napkins, who knows. My go-to for bulk stuff is usually BJ’s.

So, the thought popped into my head: Are they even open on Thanksgiving Day? And if so, what times? Didn’t want to drive all the way there just to find the doors locked. That would be a real bummer.
My Process to Find the Hours
First thing I did was grab my phone. Figured the easiest way was to check online. I didn’t bother with calling first, usually takes too long.
So I opened up my browser and searched for “BJ’s Wholesale Club hours”. Pretty straightforward. Their main site popped up. I clicked on that, hoping it would be obvious.
Navigated around a bit. Usually, there’s a “Find a Club” or “Locations” link somewhere prominent. Found it. Put in my zip code to get my local store’s details.
It showed the regular hours, which I already kinda knew. But I needed the specific holiday hours. Sometimes they bury that stuff.
- I looked for any banners or announcements on the homepage about holiday hours. Didn’t see anything immediately obvious.
- Then I checked my local club’s page again, scrolling down, looking for a special section.
- Sometimes it’s under “Store Details” or something similar.
After a little bit of clicking around on my local store’s page, I finally spotted it. There was a small note or section, I forget exactly what it looked like, specifically mentioning upcoming holiday hours.
What I Found Out
And bingo, there it was. It clearly stated that all BJ’s clubs would be CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day itself. Okay, good to know. Saved me a trip.
It also usually shows the hours for the day before (Wednesday) and the day after (Black Friday), which tend to be different from normal too. Wednesday they were open normal or maybe slightly adjusted hours, can’t recall exactly, but they were open. And Friday, of course, they had special early hours for the shopping rush.
So, the key takeaway for me was: definitely closed on the actual Thanksgiving holiday. Had to make sure I got everything I needed from there before Thursday. Glad I checked instead of just assuming. It’s always better to look it up beforehand for holidays, saves a lot of potential hassle.
