Okay, let me tell you about this Fendi black tote I got.

Getting Started
So, I’d been needing a solid bag for a while. Something sturdy, you know? Big enough to chuck everything in for work, maybe look a bit put-together. My old one was falling apart, threads everywhere, looked a bit sad.
I spent ages just looking around, mostly online at first. Scrolling through endless pictures, different brands. Lots of flimsy stuff, or things that just didn’t look right. Then I stumbled across this Fendi black tote. Looked simple, tough, basically a big black box you could carry stuff in.
Making the Decision
Now, the price tag, yeah, that made me pause. It wasn’t exactly pocket change. I hemmed and hawed for a good few weeks. Kept thinking, do I really need this bag? Probably not. But did I want something that would hopefully last and not look cheap after five minutes? Yeah, kinda.
I figured, okay, let’s just go see it in person. Went to one of those fancy stores. Felt a bit out of place, honestly. But I found the bag. Picked it up. Felt the leather. Seemed pretty robust. The sales person was going on about craftsmanship, whatever. I just cared if it would hold my laptop without the straps breaking.
Bringing it Home and Using It
In the end, I bit the bullet. Handed over the card, felt a slight pang of regret, but also kinda excited. Got it home, took it out of the dust bag thingy. It had that new leather smell. Pretty plain design, which is what I wanted. No massive logos screaming at you.

Started using it the next day.
- Threw in my laptop. Fit fine.
- Added my notebook, charger, wallet, keys. Plenty of space.
- Sling it over my shoulder. Okay, bit heavier than my old bag, but manageable.
Been using it pretty much every day since then. Took it on a couple of trips too. Shoved it under airplane seats, chucked it in the back of the car. It’s picked up a few scuffs here and there, especially on the corners. Can’t really avoid that if you’re actually using it, right?
Looking Back
So, how’s it holding up? Pretty well, actually. The leather is thick, the stitching seems strong. It does what I bought it for: holds my stuff and doesn’t look like it’s about to disintegrate. It’s just a workhorse bag, really. A slightly expensive workhorse.
Sometimes I think maybe I could’ve got something similar for way less. Probably. But this one feels like it’ll last donkey’s years, and I don’t have to think about buying another bag for a long time. That’s worth something, I guess. It just sits there, does its job. No fuss.
