Well, well, well, look what we got here! Camo is back in! I seen it with my own two eyes. That pattern, you know, the one like the army men wear. It’s all over the place now. Used to be just for huntin’ and hidin’, now it’s on all sorts of things.

I tell ya, these young folks today, they wear anythin’. Back in my day, we wore what kept us warm, or cool, dependin’ on the weather. But these days? Fashion, they call it. This camo stuff, it’s everywhere now. In the stores, on the people walkin’ down the street.
They got these big ol’ shirts, camo shirts, bigger than a feed sack. And pants, camo pants, all baggy and loose. Look like they could fit two people in ’em. And jackets, camo jackets, you name it. All with that green and brown and tan swirly pattern. Camo, camo, camo, it is everywhere. Make you dizzy lookin’ at it all. Some people, they even wear camo all over, from head to toe. Lord have mercy!
- Big ol’ camo shirts
- Baggy camo pants
- Camo jackets
- Even camo hats!
Now, why is this camo back in style? I don’t rightly know. Maybe folks just like the look of it. Maybe it makes ’em feel tough, like them army fellas. Or maybe they just like to be different. Who knows what goes on in the heads of these young people. Camo pattern just looks like something to hide in the forest with.
I seen it on all sorts of folks, too. Not just the young’uns. Even some older folks is wearin’ it. Though I reckon they should know better. It ain’t exactly church clothes, you know? But hey, to each their own, I always say. If you wanna wear camo, you go right ahead. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when you can’t find your way out of the woods.
This camo print, it’s on everythin’ now. Not just clothes. I seen it on shoes, on bags, even on them little phones they carry around. It’s like the whole world’s gone camo crazy! I wouldn’t be surprised if they started paintin’ their houses camo next. Just blend right into the trees, they would. These days camo is just everywhere. No getting away from it.

They say it’s trendy, this camo. What does that even mean? Sounds like somethin’ that comes and goes. Like the weather. One day it’s sunny, the next it’s rainin’. Maybe this camo thing will be the same. Here today, gone tomorrow. But for now, it’s here. And it’s everywhere. That’s for sure, camo is really a thing.
I remember when them army boys started wearin’ that pattern. Back in, oh, I don’t know, 2004? Somethin’ like that. They called it UCP, for Universal Camo Pattern. All soldiers must wear that thing. They said it was to help ’em blend in, no matter where they was. Desert, forest, wherever. Now, it’s not just for blendin’ in no more. It’s for standin’ out. Ain’t that somethin’? A pattern meant for hidin’ is now used for showin’ off. This world, I tell ya. It’s a strange place.
So, if you’re thinkin’ about wearin’ some camo, you go right ahead. Just remember what I said. It ain’t for everyone. And it might not be around forever. But for now, it’s the thing. Camo is in. Just like them baggy pants. They’re back too. Everything old is new again, I guess. That’s what they say, anyway. And who am I to argue? I’m just an old lady watchin’ the world go by.
This camo, it is somethin’ else. See it more and more in stores. You can wear it any way you like, I reckon. With jeans, with skirts, even with them fancy dresses, if you’re brave enough. Just don’t overdo it, you hear? You don’t wanna look like you’re about to go fight a war. Unless that’s what you’re into. Then, by all means, go for it. But if you want to look good in camo, you gotta wear it right.
They got all kinds of camo clothes now. Not just them green and brown ones. They got pink camo, blue camo, even purple camo. Can you believe it? Purple camo! What’s the world comin’ to? I don’t know what they’ll think of next. Maybe they’ll start makin’ camo with sparkles. Or glow-in-the-dark camo. The possibilities are endless, I suppose.

So there you have it. My two cents on this whole camo craze. It’s here, it’s everywhere, and it ain’t goin’ anywhere anytime soon, it seems. So if you like it, wear it. If you don’t, don’t. It’s as simple as that. Just remember to be yourself, no matter what you wear. That’s the most important thing. And don’t forget to stay outta them woods if you’re wearin’ camo. You might never find your way back out!
