Okay, so today I decided to check out Fenwick stores. I’d heard about them, seen some ads, you know, the usual. But I figured it was time to actually go and see what they’re all about.
Getting There
First things first, I had to figure out which one to go to. Turns out, they have a few locations, so I picked the one that was easiest for me to get to. I hopped in my car, punched the address into my GPS, and I was off.
First Impressions
When I walked in, it was definitely nicer than I expected. It wasn’t like a super high-end, intimidating place, but it was clean, well-organized, and the staff seemed pretty friendly. I guess you’d call it “upscale casual”?
Browsing Around
I started by just wandering around, checking out the different departments. They have a pretty good selection of stuff:
- Womenswear: Dresses, tops, jeans, the whole nine yards. I saw some brands I recognized, and some I didn’t.
- Menswear: Similar deal – shirts, pants, suits, even some shoes and accessories.
- Beauty: A decent-sized beauty section with makeup, skincare, and fragrances.
- Home Goods: Some furniture, kitchen stuff, bedding… you get the idea.
Trying Stuff On
I grabbed a few things that caught my eye in the women’s section and headed to the fitting rooms. The fitting rooms were clean and well-lit, which is always a plus. I tried on a couple of dresses and a top, and ended up liking one of the dresses enough to buy it.
Checking Out
The checkout process was smooth. The cashier was friendly, and they had those tap-to-pay things, which I always appreciate. I grabbed my bag and headed out.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, I’d say Fenwick is a pretty solid department store. It’s not the cheapest place to shop, but the quality seems good, and they have a wide variety of stuff. I’ll probably go back again, especially if I’m looking for something a little nicer than what I’d find at the mall.
