What is a Sequence Purse? Find Out if This Trendy sequin Accessory Is Right for You!

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “sequence purse” idea, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I started out thinking it would be super simple, but, well, it turned out to be a bit more involved than I initially thought.

First, I grabbed some scrap fabric I had lying around. I wanted something with a bit of a pattern, just to make it a little more interesting. Then I cut out two rectangles, basically eyeballing the size I wanted for the finished purse. I’m not one for precise measurements, to be honest.

Figuring Out the Sequence

The real tricky part was the sequence. I decided to go with a simple alternating pattern of beads and sequins. So, I laid out my materials: a needle, some strong thread, a bunch of colorful beads, and a pile of sparkly sequins. The order? Big pain!

It sounds easy, right? But keeping the tension consistent and making sure everything was lined up properly… let’s just say I had to undo and redo a few sections. More than a few, actually. There may have been some frustrated sighs involved.

Putting It All Together

Once I had my two sequined and beaded panels, I placed them wrong sides together. More sewing! This time, I stitched around three sides, leaving one open to, you know, actually use the purse. I almost forgot, and I realized I need an opening!

Then, the final touch: I added a little button and a loop of thread to act as a closure. Pretty basic, but it does the job.

So, there you have it. My sequence purse adventure. It’s not perfect, a little wonky in places, but hey, I made it! And it actually holds stuff! Who knew?
