So I saw this video online, and it got me thinking about those shark boots that Latto wears. You know, the ones that everyone’s been talking about? I decided to dig into it a bit.
First, I watched the video a few times. It’s filmed in Atlanta, directed by someone named Laura Marciano. Cool, cool. But what really caught my eye were those boots. Then I remembered Latto saying something about how everyone’s burnt out on Givenchy’s main seller, which I guessed was these boots. I mean, she’s not wrong.
So, I started looking around online. I scrolled through some comments, and yep, people are still debating whether these boots are in or out for the fall and winter of 2024. Some folks are saying “no way,” while others are all about them. There’s even this one comment from like, October 21st, that got a ton of likes and replies. Clearly, these boots are a hot topic.
Then I dove deeper. I found out that these boots are officially called “Shark Lock” boots by Givenchy. They’ve been around since 2012, can you believe it? And they’ve changed a lot since then, with different styles and colors. No wonder people can’t make up their minds about them! They are also referred to as the “foldover” boot.

After all this digging, I’ve realized that even though Latto and some folks might be tired of them, these shark boots are still a big deal. Givenchy keeps updating them, and people keep finding new ways to wear them. So, are they in or out? I guess it depends on who you ask. Me? I’m still on the fence. They’re definitely interesting, but I’m not sure if I can pull them off. What do you guys think?
