Watch Necklace: Cool Styles and Where to Buy Them

Okay, so I saw this cool “watch necklace” thing online and thought, “I can totally make that!” Here’s how it went down, step-by-step.

Finding the Goods

First, I needed a watch. Not just any watch, though. It had to be small and kinda vintage-looking. I hit up a few thrift stores and finally scored this old, slightly beat-up pocket watch. Perfect!

Then, I needed a chain. I already had a few old necklaces lying around, so I picked one that I thought would look good with the watch. It was a simple, silver-colored chain – nothing too flashy.

Putting it Together

This was the tricky part. I opened up the back of the pocket watch. Usually, there’s a little loop where the original chain would go. Luckily, this one had it!

Next, I took my necklace chain and carefully threaded it through that loop. I had to use some tiny pliers to help me because my fingers are too clumsy. It’s easy to damage it, so do it carefully!

The Final Touches

Once the chain was through, I made sure it was secure.I closed the back of the watch, It might took a few tries, because the chain make the back harder to close!

And that’s it! My very own, handmade watch necklace. It’s not perfect, the watch is a little scratched, and the chain is a bit tarnished, but that’s what makes it unique, right?

I wear it all the time now, and I always get compliments. I am even thinking about making some for my friends. We’ll see!
